The Anima Festival is delighted to announce the first edition of its Co-Production Day, a full day dedicated to networking and financing opportunities for animated film projects. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect emerging and established Belgian talent with an international network of producers.

This event is organised in collaboration with hub.brussels, screen.brussels, Sabam and mediarte.
AGENDA
18 February 2026 – MASTERCLASS

The selected talents will take part in a masterclass to refine their pitch ahead of the Co-Production Day, held at the Sabam offices.
Location: Rue des Deux Églises 41–43, 1000 Brussels.
25 February 2026 – CO-PRODUCTION DAY

Morning – Pitch Session
The selected projects will be presented live in front of an audience of producers and other industry professionals. Each project holder will have a set amount of time to pitch their project in English.
Location: Studio 1, Flagey, Place Sainte-Croix 1, 1050 Ixelles.

Afternoon – One-on-One Meetings
After the pitching session, selected talents will take part in individual meetings with the international coproducers invited by the festival. A privileged moment to deepen discussions and initiate real collaborations.
Location: Marni, Rue de Vergnies 25, 1050 Ixelles.
WHO CAN APPLY?
Conditions:
• You reside in Belgium.
• You can pitch and communicate comfortably in English.
• You are available for the masterclass on 18 February and the Co-Production Day on 25 February 2026.
Important: At least one third of the selected projects will be reserved for authors affiliated with Sabam. Being a Sabam member may therefore strengthen your application!
SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT
The call for applications closes on 11 January 2026.
To apply, please send the following materials in English to futuranima@folioscope.be with the subject line
“Co-production Day 2026 Application”:
- The project title, a synopsis (maximum 1 page), and a technical sheet (duration, animation technique, target audience, etc.).
- An intention note and/or director’s note.
- A presentation dossier (graphic research, character design, developed visuals, storyboard, and/or any other available materials).
- A provisional financing plan or an update on your financing research.
- A trailer or demo (if available).
- The contact details of the project holders and the production company, mentioning the affiliated copyright management society.
Anima will select the most promising projects. Selected talents will be informed no later than 16 January 2026.
