Anima is an event in itself already, given all its exclusive screenings and its competition as well as its concerts, exhibitions and meetings of all kinds. What’s more, a lot of events within the event will take place throughout the week, with lively screenings, debates and live performances involving dance, drawing or music.

BIKE TALK
Cyclists are not always who you think they are. After the screening of a few animated films featuring cyclists from all walks of life, there will be a discussion about cycling with the Pro Velo team and some unexpected cycling fans – a discussion that will go beyond the stereotypes and clichés.

GUIDED RIDE
Anima will be the starting point for Pro Velo’s first guided ride of the season, a ride devoted to comics. Interested? Meet us at Place Sainte-Croix on 25 February at 14:00. Registration required.

BROTARU
Brotaru is a monthly meeting for video game developers. Every month it brings together professionals, students and enthusiasts of video games. In an inclusive and open format, each creator is free to present his or her latest game for feedback and advice. Don’t hesitate to join them and discover the richness of the Belgian video game landscape!

CINÉ-CONCERT : NOUVELLES CHRONIQUES DE MELVILE
An enchanting journey into the world of Melvile. Romain Renard will be your guide in this adventure. DRINK & DRAW: CREATE YOUR OWN ANIMATED GIF!
The concept is simple: get together to share ideas, doodle and drink. No rules, no limits, just a burst of creative energy and good vibes. For this special edition, Grafik will help you to make short analogue GIF animations that you can use to share with your friends.

QUEER STORIES
This programme is more than just a compilation of great LGBTQIA+ films, most of which would have made it into the international competition. It is a celebration.

The Animated Night
The Night is a clever mix of three programmes of short films consisting of strange little gems and wacky discoveries, alien intermezzos and people readying themselves for a cosy night in their pyjamas and slippers. Relaxed and casual attire is tolerated – and even welcomed – at Flagey on the Night! Get ready for a night like no other!

VJING COSMONAUTE
During the breaks, Jango Jim (Grafik collective) will draw and animate paper cut-outs live while DJ Gelukwens will use a synth and sampler to create music inspired by space. In Foyer 1.
DRAWING CONTEST
Release your inhibitions! What would your inner demon look like if he was a gnome? Does it resemble the one from Amok or not at all? Sharpen you pencils because we’ll choose 5 winners who receive a great goodie package! Ready, set, draw!
