As dusk falls, a giantess is taking her comfortably seated audience for a walk through luxuriant undergrowth. Her fluorescent gaze radiates throughout the landscape and transforms everything in her path, as if the surroundings were coming to life before our very eyes. Who is she? Where is she taking them? What are they looking at? A limited edition version in fluorescent ink will show other details in black light.

Kitty Crowther

Kitty Crowther was born in Brussels and is the daughter of a Swedish mother and a British father. She is the author and illustrator of around forty children’s books, including the series Poka & Mine, Petites histoires de nuit, Moi et rienand more recently Je veux un chien (et peu importe lequel), all published by Pastel/l’école des loisirs. Her unique yet serious universe is filled with mystery and fantasy.

In Stockholm in 2010, she received the prestigious Astrid Lindgren Award for children’s literature for the body of her work.
As part of the MagmaContemporary Art Triennial inOttignies–Louvain-la-Neuve, this daring artist has recently exhibited a series of a hundred faces for the facewallinstallation and, in collaboration with Vincent Glowinski (Bonom), the A quatre piedsinstallation, comprising 9 huge drawings exhibited in an underground carpark that combine dance and charcoal.
As Kitty enjoys working with coloured pencils, this is the medium she has proposed for the Anima poster.
