The 45th edition of the Anima Festival opens with the new feature film by Quebecois director Félix Dufour-Laperrière. One of the most remarkable directors and animators on the scene today, he has developed a style that is at once contemplative, poetic and highly political. Drawn entirely by hand, the film imposes a graphic style that visualizes emotions and establishes a world that is both harsh and poetic.

After a failed attack, Hélène flees into the forest, abandoning her companions. But Manon, her friend and former accomplice, returns to haunt her. Through mysterious valleys and dreamlike landscapes, they confront violence, guilt and commitment. An intimate and political fable about impossible choices and the metamorphoses of a world in crisis.
