FAQ Accreditations

Accreditations: What are they for? Who are they for?

Our various accreditation formulas cater to different audience profiles: professionals, students and enthusiasts, as well as French-speaking, Dutch-speaking and international. Accreditations are the best solution if you want to attend a large number of screenings (more than 5). An accreditation allows you to book ‘unlimited’ screenings for Anima 2025 and includes a personal online booking space, active from 4 February, and a name badge, available at the reception desk at Flagey from day 1 of the Festival.

How do I know if my application for an accreditation has been submitted?

Once all the registration stages have been approved, you will receive an automatic email confirming that your application has been submitted. Once your accreditation has been approved, you can proceed with the payment and book your sessions from 4 February 2025.

For professional, student and press accreditations, you can track the status of your application from your personal space. The accreditation department in charge of your application will get back to you as soon as possible.

Can I buy several accreditations?

Yes, all you have to do is register as many times as you want accreditations. Note that you must use a different email address for each accreditation.

What are the different payment methods?

You can pay for your accreditation by Bancontact (by entering your bank details or using a QR code), Visa or Mastercard.

How do I use a promo code?

The field for activating the promo code is located at the payment stage.

What can I access with my accreditation?

With your accreditation, you can reserve 1 seat for each of the Festival screenings at Flagey and Marni, subject to availability, except for masterclasses and the opening and closing sessions. Only passport holders can book the opening and closing sessions with their accreditation.

Screenings at Cinematek, Palace and the Walloon and Flemish venues are not included in the accreditation. These different venues have their own ticket offices.

For all categories except passports, after the Festival you will also receive personal access to the Anima video library, which includes the entire official selection of Anima 2025 short films. You will have access until 31 March 2025.

Where can I collect my badge?

Your badge will be available at the Festival reception desk from 19:00 on 28 February and every day of the Festival from 10:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, and from 13:00 to 22:00 at weekends.

How do I book my screenings?

Go to your personal space. Click on “ 'My festival' access" and browse the Festival programme. When you want to reserve a screening, click on it and then on ‘Reserve a seat’.

Your bookings are then recorded directly in your personal space and on your badge.

Bring it with you when you enter the auditorium so that our team can scan it.

To ensure that everyone can get the most out of the festival: each person can book a maximum of 10 screenings (press and guest accreditations), 15 screenings (professional and student accreditations ) or 20 screenings (Festival Pass) at the same time. Once you’ve attended a screening, you can book a new one.

If you don’t have a booking, you can still try your luck at the entrance to the auditorium. If the screening is sold-out, we will ask you to wait on the side and you will be able to enter the screening if there are still seats available 10 minutes after the start of the screening.

Oh no, I’ve lost my badge: what should I do?

Losing your badge doesn’t mean losing your bookings. We will issue you with a new badge as soon as possible. Please notify us at reception, by email or by telephone as soon as possible.

I can’t book a seat with my accreditation because the show is sold out, but I can still buy tickets at the box office. How come?

Each audience category (passport, professional, student, press, 5-session pass and individual tickets on sale) is allocated a quota of seats for each screening. These quotas are adjusted daily according to demand. If you are unable to book your screening because it is sold out, this means that you have reached your quota for your accreditation category.

Please check your personal space regularly to see if any seats have become available.

Please cancel your bookings if you are unable to attend the screening, so that other accredited festivalgoers who are waiting can benefit from them and to avoid blocking seats unnecessarily.

What does ‘Booking not possible’ mean?

This means that your type of accreditation does not give you access to that screening. For example, professional, student, press and guest accreditations have access to the entire programme, except masterclasses and the opening and closing sessions. Passport holders have access to the entire programme, except the masterclasses.

What happens if I can no longer book a screening but there are still places available for accredited festivalgoers?

To ensure that everyone can get the most out of the festival: each person can book a maximum of 10 screenings (press and guest accreditations), 15 screenings (professional and student accreditations ) or 20 screenings (Festival Pass) at the same time. Once you’ve attended a screening, you can book a new one.

If you don’t have a booking, you can still try your luck at the entrance to the auditorium. If the screening is sold-out, we will ask you to wait on the side and you will be able to enter the screening if there are still seats available 10 minutes after the start of the screening.

I’m having trouble booking a screening. What can I do?

If you are unable to book a screening, please contact us at accreditation@animafestival.info or on +32 (0)2 213 19 40. During the Festival, you can go directly to the Festival reception desk at Flagey.

Until when can I book my screenings?

You can book your screenings right up to the last minute. But make sure to book well in advance, as some screenings sell out quickly.

Online bookings for accreditations will open on 4 February.

Ticket sales will begin at noon on 4 February.

Can I cancel a booked screening?

You can cancel a booking at any time. To do so, go to your personal space, click on the screening of your choice and then on ‘Cancel my reservation’.

Please cancel your bookings if you are unable to attend the screening so that other accredited festivalgoers who are waiting can benefit from them and to avoid blocking seats unnecessarily. This will also allow you to book another screening if you have already reached your booking limit (10, 15 or 20 depending on your type of badge).

Where can I find a summary of my booked screenings?

Simply log on to your personal space and click on ‘My program’. You will find all the screenings for which you have booked a seat.

How do I access the screenings?

If you have booked a screening on your personal space, your booking will automatically be on your badge. All you have to do is present your badge at the entrance to the auditorium. Our teams will scan it and you will have access to the screening.

We strongly advise you to book in advance via your personal space in order to guarantee a seat in the auditorium.

If you don’t have a booking, you can still try your luck at the entrance to the auditorium. If the screening is sold-out, we will ask you to wait on the side and you will be able to enter the screening if there are still seats available 10 minutes after the start of the screening.
