The Anima trophies are the ‘Uō’, which means ‘friend’ in Polynesian. Created for the third year running by the artist Peggy Jude, these endearing, one-of-a-kind pieces, siblings of last year’s trophies, symbolize the close bond that unites all film-makers in the animation family around the world.
Peggy Jude lives and works in Ittre. She is a multidisciplinary artist and a free electron of the Belgian art scene. She explores the possibilities of materials to celebrate the living by giving shape to animist worlds that are populated by tender or mysterious characters, sensual convolutions and organic figurations.
