After a powerful storm, 11-year-old Michael is shipwrecked on a desert island and must learn to survive on his own, just like Robinson Crusoe. Somewhere on the internet there’s a 250 km² space in which individuals form a community and take part in a simulated survival game. Posing as avatars, a film crew penetrate the site and come into contact with the players. Who are these inhabitants? Are they really playing?

The concept is simple: drawing together over a drink. For amateurs, enthusiasts or novices eager to discover new things, Drink & Draw celebrates artistic diversity in an informal setting. For this special edition, Grafik will guide you through the process of creating short analogue animations which are transformed into GIFs for you to share with family and friends.
During Anima, Grafik will also be publishing illustrations by animation professionals and film-makers taking part in this edition, available in the festival shop!

Abadan, Iran. 1980. The inhabitants are resisting an Iraqi siege. Dog and Robot are the best of friends. One fine day, they decide to go to the beach. But by the end of the day, Robot is rusty and completely paralyzed! His friend, not knowing what to do, is forced to abandon him. The seasons go by and Dog tries to make new friends, while Robot has no choice but to dream of better things.
After a screening of some of his films, Barry will talk candidly about various aspects of his exceptional career in stop-motion animation, spanning forty-five very colourful years. His films have won more than sixty international awards. Barry also worked on Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks! and Peter Jackson’s King Kong.
