MASTERCLASS MUSIC IN ANIMATION WITH PABLO PICO
Composer and artist Pablo Pico is the man behind the music for numerous animated shorts and features, including Sirocco et le Royaume des courants d’air, Maman pleut des cordes, L’Extraordinaire Voyage de Marona, Adama and the Chien pourri series. He has received many awards for his work and this has enabled him to collaborate with musicians such as Oxmo Puccino, Isabel Sörling and Arthur H. Anima is privileged to be hosting an exceptional masterclass with the artist, in which he will share his expertise and talent and reveal all the secrets of composing music for animated films.

MEET THE TALENT: CYRIL PEDROSA
Cyril Pedrosa, well known in the world of comics (Trois Ombres, Portugal, Les Equinoxes, L'Âge d’Or, etc.), began his career as an animator and inbetweener at Disney France (The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Hercules) before collaborating on films such as Tomm Moore’s Wolfwalkers and Sébastien Laudenbach’s upcoming film Prends garde à toi! During this event, Cyril Pedrosa will talk about his incredible career in comics and animation and how he ended up directing his first feature film, La Longue Nuit, a post-apocalyptic fiction set in a Paris in ruins, co-produced by Modern Magic (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) and Miyu Productions.

Also not to be missed: the next edition of the Belgian Animation Rendez-Vous and a brand-new networking event on music for films, bringing together animation musicians and directors. Last but not least, there will be plenty of informal get-togethers: you can meet the nominated directors during our Meet the Talent sessions, play the latest independent video games currently in development at Brotaru, or simply show off your drawing skills at the Drink & Draw!
