Are you an animation director or producer looking for music for your new project? Or are you a musician looking to compose for animation film? Then this call is for you!

As part of Anima 2024, Amplo is partnering with Wallonie-Bruxelles Musiques, Conseil de la Musique, VI.BE and Sabam for Culture to organize a professional networking event focusing on music and animation film.

The speed date will take place on Wednesday 28 February 2024, in the afternoon, in Flagey (Brussels), bringing together animation film directors/producers and music composers/producers for a quick 5-minute rendez-vous per meeting. A drink will follow, providing an opportunity for more in-depth and/or informal discussions.

Sabam for Culture | Music will grant a scholarship of €2,500 per person to two participating composers (who are members of Sabam or in the process of joining). With this scholarship, the winners can compose the music for the animation film project that emerged from this speed date!

Applicants wishing to participate in the Speed Date must meet the following criteria
(preference will be given to those who meet the majority of the criteria)

Animation directors/producers
• Be recognized as a professional in the animation film industry
• Be either a director or a producer with one or more ongoing projects
• Have at least one professional film completed to your credit or currently in production (shortfilm, feature, series, ...) 
• Be available on Wednesday February 28, 2024, in the afternoon, in Brussels

Music composers/producers
• Be recognized as a professional in the music industry (= main activity), either as a composer or as a producer
• Be based in Belgium
• Be (in the process of) developing internationally (preparing for a tour, having foreign press, etc.)
• Be active in the field of music for image or be in the process of considering this type of practice
• Be available on Wednesday February 28, 2024, in the afternoon, in Brussels

Selected candidates have been notified by email on Monday 12 February 2024.

Unselected candidates have been notified by email on Friday 16 February 2024. As available slots are very limited, the selection committee reserves the right not to provide reasons for its decisions.
