A lost cat, a voluble giant frog and a tsunami help a salesman with no ambition, his frustrated wife and a schizophrenic accountant save Tokyo from an earthquake and make sense again of their lives. Animation was undoubtedly the ideal medium for this adaptation of Haruki Murakami’s most famous short stories.

Director Pierre Földes will be present at the screening of Saturday 18 February.
